Board of Adjustment Committee Minutes
November 16, 2006
6:30 P.M.
PRESENT:
Jerry Convy-Chairman, Gary Miller-Vice Chairman,
Paula Rowland, Robert Swantek, Terry Leonard, Deborah Hill-Zoning Administrator,
Terrie Woodle- Secretary
NOT PRESENT:
Karen Rose- Justice
CALL TO ORDER:
Mr. Convy called the Board of Adjustment meeting to order at 6:30 pm in the North topsail Beach meeting room.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA:
Mr. Swantek motioned to approve the agenda. Mr. Miller seconded the motion, motion passed unanimously.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Mr. Convy stated that on page 3 the word grand should be grant.
Mr. Swantek made a motion to accept the minutes as corrected. Mr. Miller seconded the motion, motion passed unanimously.
COMMENTS:
Mr. Convy asked about the class Mr. Kilroy is going to teach. Mrs. Woodle stated that Mr. Kilroy will be teaching the class on December 8th at 10:00 am for the Board of Adjustment Members. Mrs. Woodle stated that Mr. Miller, Mrs. Rose- Justice, Mr. Swantek and Mr. Milligan will be attending the meeting. Mrs. Leonard and Mrs. Rowland will take the class at a later date.
Mr. Convy stated the Board of Aldermen are amending Article 7-101 Establishment of Board of Adjustment which states that the Board of Adjustment shall consist of 5 members and 1 alternate which will be amended to 5 members and 4 alternates if passed.
Ms. Hill stated that there is nothing pending for next month but let’s plan on a meeting on the 3rd Thursday and if there is not a meeting we will call the two weeks prior to let the Board Members know.
ADJOURNMENT:
Mrs. Rowland made a motion to adjourn. Mr. Miller seconded the motion, motion passed unanimously.
